Join us for a one day Combined Bogu Kumite and Officials Clinic hosted by Alberta Chit Kai

Instruction by Shihan Justin Rybie and Renshi Rupert Joshi

Bogu kumite instruction will be done by Sensei Rybie.

Bogu officials training will be done by Sensei Joshi.

Cost

$10 for children

$50 for adults

$100 family rate

Fees will be collected at the door.

*** Please Note: Fees collected at this clinic will be used to fund future ACK clinics.

Clinic Schedule

10:00 am - Noon Bogu Kumite Practice / Officials Training

12:00 - 1:30 pm Lunch Break

1:30 pm - 4:00 pm In Ring Bogu Practice / Officials Refereeing

Required EquiPMent

Please bring any bogu equipment that you have to the sessions. Also mouth guards, fist protectors and groin cups as required.

Regular in-person karate classes resume on Tuesday, September 5!

Welcome back! Regular in-person classes will be resuming on Tuesday, September 5, right after the Labour Day Long Weekend. Children’s classes will begin at 6 pm followed by Teen/Adult classes at 7:10 pm. We will be filling in registration forms and collecting fees at the end of the first class. We are looking forward to seeing you all then.

Due to the Covid 19 Virus the Edmonton Yoseikan Karate Club 50th Anniversary Celebration has been Postponed

Come join us as we celebrate our 50th year of Karate in Edmonton! We will have an open house at the dojo itself in the morning, where past members can dust off their karate gis and join present members in short, enjoyable, one hour historical classes featuring both Chito-Ryu karate and Ryukyu Kobujutsu. In the evening, there will be a celebration banquet at the Kenilworth Community League with a catered buffet dinner, speeches, video show and more. We would love to see you there!

Please note: registration and ticket purchasing is required to attend the celebration banquet at the Kenilworth Community Hall. There is no cost to attend the morning dojo open house event.

Annual Dojo Movie Night

All dojo members and their friends are invited to attend our annual dojo movie night featuring a martial arts movie (suitable for all ages). We hope to see you all there.

DATE: Friday, February 28, 2020. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the movie begins at 7:00 pm sharp.

LOCATION: Edmonton Yoseikan dojo

WHAT TO BRING: Yourself, your friends, your brothers and sisters and your parents. The dojo will provide snacks and drinks for everyone attending.
